Rubi Rose: The Curvy Eritrean-American Girl Who Went From “Bad and Boujee” Model to Rap Star

Before Rubi Rose was dropping bars, she was already making people stop and stare.

Born October 2, 1997, in Lexington, Kentucky, Rubi Rose Benton is a 28-year-old American rapper, model and internet personality. Her birthday makes her a Libra. Her mother is an Eritrean immigrant who was raised in Ethiopia, while her father is of African-American and Japanese descent, giving Rubi a striking multicultural background.

The featured video puts the spotlight on the qualities that made Rubi famous before her recording career fully took off: glamour, attitude, sex appeal and a petite but dramatically curvy hourglass figure.

Rubi's original breakthrough came as one of the featured models in Migos' “Bad and Boujee” video in 2016. She later made a memorable cameo in Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's superstar-packed “WAP” video.

But Rubi wasn't content remaining the beautiful woman in somebody else's music video.
